Established in 1981, the mission of The Center for Children & Young Adults (CCYA) is to provide a safe and nurturing environment with comprehensive services for homeless youth and young adults who have been abused, abandoned, neglected, or are at risk. As a part of the state foster care system, they house, feed, clothe and develop homeless and maltreated youth in the Atlanta Metro Area.
TTR has awarded grants to CCYA in past years to help further educational causes for their live in community. But…did you know that CCYA has a long time partnership with Cobb Master Gardeners that enables them to Farm To Table over 1,800 pounds of produce annually from their campus garden? This program is called Blooming With Possibilities. As part of this program they also partner with the UGA Extension Cobb County and other volunteers to deliver weekly cooking classes.
If you are interested in a tour of CCYA, please see tour info below and be sure to click to link to RSVP.
