Impact

Addison, Finleigh, and Olivia chose Agape Youth and Family Center because of their deep, ongoing connection to the organization. Over the past two to three years, they have served in a variety of ways — from back-to-school events and holiday drives to fundraising races, meal service, and teen leadership. Through this consistent involvement, they have built relationships within the Agape community and seen firsthand the impact of investing in children and families.

Agape’s mission is to empower children and families to discover, embrace, and achieve their full potential. Through a focus on academic achievement, reading proficiency by third grade, high school graduation, and post-graduation placement, the organization works to help break cycles of generational poverty and create lasting opportunity.

For Addison, Finleigh, and Olivia, this work is personal. Their continued service reflects a genuine commitment to supporting Agape families and helping create meaningful, lasting impact in the community.

How the Grant Would Help

This $8,000 grant would help send approximately 50 Agape family members to Camp Twin Lakes, at a cost of about $160 per person. Camp Twin Lakes provides a fully immersive outdoor experience designed for participants of all ages — creating space for connection, rest, and renewal.

For many Agape families, daily life includes juggling multiple jobs, financial pressure, and caregiving responsibilities. Experiences like family trips or time away together are often out of reach. This opportunity removes those barriers, offering a fully supported environment where families can step away from stress and focus on being together.

Through this experience, families will be able to reconnect, build stronger relationships, and create meaningful memories — moments that bring encouragement, joy, and a renewed sense of stability.

Student Involvement

Addison Gerber has supported Agape through back-to-school events, backpack drives, holiday initiatives, fundraising efforts like Run 4 Love, and serving meals to children. Her family also supports Agape throughout the year in practical ways.

Finleigh Haase has served with Agape alongside her family through multiple years of meal service and most recently by volunteering at the Back to School Bonanza.

Olivia Haase has served as a Homework Buddy and an Agape Teen Leader, supporting events, meals, and community initiatives, and was invited to speak at the ATL end-of-season celebration.
