Impact
Annalise and Wilson chose Hope Heals Camp because of its commitment to loving families affected by disabilities and creating a space where they are fully seen, supported, and valued. Through their experiences at camp, they have witnessed firsthand the joy, connection, and encouragement that comes from building an inter-ability community rooted in the hope of Christ.
Hope Heals creates sacred spaces of belonging and belovedness for families affected by disabilities. Through its camp experiences, families are given the opportunity to rest, connect, and experience a community where they are not alone.
For Annalise and Wilson, this work is deeply personal. Their continued involvement reflects a genuine love for the families they serve and a desire to help create meaningful, lasting experiences each summer.
How the Grant Would Help
This $8,700 grant would support meaningful parts of one week of Hope Heals Camp, including the Luke 14 Banquet and nightly treats for camper families.
The Luke 14 Banquet, held on the final night of camp, is one of the most impactful moments of the week. It brings together campers, families, and volunteers for a time of celebration, connection, and joy—creating memories that families carry with them long after camp ends.
Each evening, cookies are delivered to camper families as a simple but meaningful way to end the day. These small touches help families feel cared for, supported, and deeply valued throughout their time at camp.
Student Involvement
Wilson and Annalise have been involved with Hope Heals Camp for years, returning each summer with a deep love for the camp and a genuine connection to the families they serve. Their experiences have clearly left a lasting impact on them.
