MUST Ministries

Whitefield 11th grader, Caroline Kern, was awarded $12,300 on behalf of MUST Ministries here in Marietta GA.  Since its founding in 1971 MUST has established itself as a servant leader caring for those in need in the Marietta,Smyrna, and Canton/Cherokee county communities.  This grant will fund two 2-door reach-in commercial freezers ($4400 each) and a refrigerator ($3500) for MUST’s Smyrna location. These appliances will double the space they currently have allowing more food on hand to stay fresh and ensure that food banks continue to donate knowing food won’t spoil.  MUST will now be able to extend partnerships with fresh food providers if they can keep all of the easily-spoiled food. Lots of families would never ordinarily be able to afford and feed their children more expensive foods that need refrigeration, such as fresh milk and eggs. These appliances will give more families in our own community the chance to get the nutrition they need.  Caroline has been serving MUST for five years and is deeply committed to their mission
